Site Venue:   Madison, WI

MADISON – Located on an isthmus between Lake Monona and Lake Mendota, Madison is the capital of the state of Wisconsin and an eclectic gem often ranked as one of the top 10 cities to live in the United States. Its main downtown thoroughfare is State Street, which links the University of Wisconsin campus with the State Capitol Square, and is lined with restaurants, espresso cafes and shops. Only pedestrians, buses, emergency vehicles, delivery vehicles and bikes are allowed on State Street. On the other side of Capitol Square is King Street, which is developing along the lines of State Street, but with less of a student character and more appeal to the growing young white-collar high-tech population in Madison. King Street has more upper-end restaurants and cafes than are found on the more student-budget State Street.

Madison boasts a vibrant music scene, its nationally recognized education system, unending recreational venues, and a number of professional performing arts companies from opera to the symphony orchestra, among other things. With State government and the University located here, Madison is a melting pot of ethnicities, often reflected in the vast selection of cuisines available in local restaurants.

Wisconsin Hospitality Night Venue: Wisconsin Brewing Company

THE WISCONSIN BREWING COMPANY is located in Verona, Wisconsin, a small community southwest of Madison. With its start in 2013, The Wisconsin Brewing Company prides itself in the fact that everything used to build the factory was from local products. Even the German brew house, designed in Germany, was built in Wisconsin. The brewery even boasts a Campus Craft Brewery, which is a collaboration with the University of Wisconsin – Madison College of Agricultural and Life Sciences that allows students to learn the craft of brewing while developing their own beer. This year’s Campus Craft Brew is called “Red Arrow” and will be available May 1st, just in time for our Wisconsin Hospitality Night.
